Ethnography of the community of Ziaka Grevena for the 1940s. It explores the meaning that the residents of the village gave to EAM's message in the civil war that followed the liberation. Key to the interpretation were the events of the interwar period and the politicization of the inhabitants through the lines of the Rural Party and the KKE. After the end of the Civil War, almost all residents settled as political refugees in Eastern Europe. During the research, most people had returned to Greece.
