DOI

Full edition for scientific use. In the FRequent health Assessment In Later life (FRAIL70+) study, a professional survey agency (IFES, Vienna) collected health-related information in a nation-wide sample of 426 community-dwelling older adults in Austria. FRAIL70+ is a panel study where data were collected using a measurement burst design. Up to 7 biweekly interviews per person were conducted per burst, with the two bursts being one year apart. In total, 5123 interviews were completed. The first interview in each burst was conducted in person in the older adult’s home, the remaining interviews via telephone. For a small sub-sample (n=40), all interviews of the first measurement burst were conducted in person. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Medical University of Graz (EK-number: 33-243 ex 20/21 1035-2021).
