Ferrybox measurements at the Jade Bay, tidal cycle, March 2016, RB Zephyr

DOI

The data were collected with the RB Zephyr in the Jade Bay (south-east North Sea), while driving back and forth along a transect between Wilhelmshaven and Tossens, during an entire tidal cycle, starting at high tide. To collect the data, a CTD of the type CTD48m by Sea&Sun was used to measure a time series over the tidal period, like a Ferrybox system. It was placed 0.5 m underneath the water surface in the hydrographic shaft (moonpool) of the boat. The data were converted into ASCII using SDA software and time averaged.
