Ramganga degraded mangrove site soil microbiome Metagenome

This study was initiated to find out the absolute abundance of presence of different bacterial community in this degraded mangrove habitat site soil of Indian Sundarbans at Ramganga in 2014. It was done through isolation of soil DNA from the respective site and amplicon database generation through16S (V3-V4) rRNA Sequencing using Illumina MiSeq.

Comparison of these site soil microbiome information with the same of the semi-restored same mangrove habitat site soil at 2021 and later and co-located pristine mangrove habitat site soil of Indian Sundarbans might result into identification of some particular bacterial community abundances which could be used as metrics of evaluation of restoration of mangrove site soil in future studies.
