The GP patient survey 2018

The GP Patient Survey is a large-scale postal survey run by Ipsos MORI on behalf of NHS England. The survey receives responses from over 750,000 adults in England every year. It looks at patient experiences of their GP practice and primary care generally. The results from the latest publication of the survey were released on 9 August 2018. The most recent reports and survey materials can be found on the GP Patient Survey website (please see ‘Related Resources’ for further details). The analysis tool also enables users to look at the survey in more detail (at national, CCG and practice levels) and view the results by specific sub-groups. The GP Patient Survey is a large postal survey sent to around c.2.15 million adults each year. Until July 2016, data was collected in waves; there were between two and four waves a year, depending on the fieldwork period. From this point, the data has been collected annually, between January and March, with publication in summer.
