Planktic foraminifera occurrences in ODP Hole 143-865B

DOI

These are qualitative assessments of planktic foraminifera assemblage content for the purposes of biostratigraphy. As such, greatest attention was given to biostratigraphically-useful species whose relative abundance is as often as possible represented by the letters R, F, C and A. 'X' is used where a cursory search was made and the species observed but its relative abundance was not further classified.Abundance: X = present (relative abundance not determined); R = Rare (0.1-2 %); F = Few (2-10%); C = Common (10-30 %); A = Abundant >30%Additional samples from the stable isotope dataset used here were checked for marker taxa but not transcribed if not close to datum boundary. These data are in a lab book not accessible because of COVID-19 lockdown but do not change the position of the bioevents. Datum picks used here are shown as (D); cells indicate concerted effort by worker to look for that particular species are shown as #.Shipboard Scientific Party (1993) - See references in main paper
