A graphical user interface for estimating the gas hydrate stability in marine sediments

DOI

Identifying the region in sediments where hydrates can be stable is key to understand the evolution of gas hydrate systems. CAGEHYD, a new graphical user interface, simplifies the estimation of gas hydrate stability zone in marine sediments. Based on the CSMHYD equilibrium curves, the graphical user interface provides a faster way of analyzing hydrate stability in various ambient pressure, temperature, salinity, and gas compositions. CAGEHYD will be applicable in geoscience academia, gas hydrate research, and in petroleum industry.
