This entry includes the first part of the e-book "Po poteh belega metulja" (Following the paths of the white butterfly) by author Agnes Kojc (COBISS.SI-ID 270071811, ISBN 978-961-7272-25-3). I never intended to publish my poetry. It sprang from a quiet, innocent and youthful yearning love. From the desire to be seen, heard and to have my expression recognized, and at the same time to pour out into letters everything I carried within me, but had nowhere to put it. And yet – the inner light of words was ultimately only stronger than the shadows of shyness, doubt and fear. And so… the collection is before you. After all the twists and turns, testing and waiting for the “right moment.” It seemed right to me not to classify the poems according to “periods of maturation” or specific themes: I wanted readers to feel my wholeness. I am trying to transcend the division into "the dreamy, in love, lost, searching caterpillar (read: girl) of the past" and "the self-confident, calm, (in)love and self-contained butterfly today (read: woman)." The poems are the entirety of all my expression, artistic growth, linguistic discovery and emotional impulses that have transformed, broken, swallowed, seethed and grown. It is a portrait of my transformation along the path from caterpillar through caterpillar to butterfly, which is still growing and learning to spread its wings. And I hope that this first flight is just the beginning. And that the butterfly's white wings will embrace and speak to you with something special, only yours, including you. From the book I pave my way to something with my tongue. That is invisible. It is not there. It is part of the Plan. I breathe deeply. I am stronger with my tongue.
