Elucidating Lattice Dynamics of Metal-Organic Frameworks via Inelastic Neutron Spectroscopy

DOI

The proposed work will employ Inelastic Neutron Scattering (INS) spectroscopy at TOSCA to establish vibrational frequencies in porous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). MOFs adopting zeolitic topologies (ZIFs and TIFs) will be studied. The aim is to establish detailed low-energy vibrational modes of MOFs, featuring distinct chemical structures, network topologies and pore configurations.
