Ho2-xYxSn2O7 is characterized by degenerate magnetic ground-states, which involve the magnetic structure for x->0 (Spin-Ice phase) and the two-fold degeneracy of the single-ion crystal field split levels for x->2.In this experiment we plan to investigate by means of zero and longitudinal field relaxation measurements the stability of the Spin-Ice phase against magnetic dilution, induced by Y3+ doping, and the spin dynamics in the strongly diluted limit, where Ho3+ ions are expected to show a behaviour analogous to single molecule magnets.
