This data was acquired during the expedition PS153 with the German ice breaker RV POLARSTERN in February-April 2026, in the western Weddell Sea, as part of the SWOS (Summer Weddell Outflow Study) project, using the AWIs towed camera system OFOBS. Aim: Assessment of macrobenthic biodiversity patterns and gradients along transects across the continental slope and across latitude in relation to environmental parameters. Deployments were planned to follow selected depth isolines if permitted by ice conditions. Station name: T2_BE4_OM, depth 547m, drift speed ~0.1-0.9. Comment: The laser markers are spaced 50 cm apart. The target altitude above the seafloor was 1.5 m. Additional payload: 2 NISKIN bottles for water sampling to be analysed for C/N ratio and chlorophyll a. RoCSI for water sampling to be analysed for eDNA.
