Psychometrics of Wearable Devices Measuring Physical Activity in Ambulant Children With Gait Abnormalities: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

DOI

This collection of files was used to carry out a systematic review and meta-analysis on the reliability and validity of wearable devices in ambulant children with gait abnormalities.

Purpose: To document the methods, results, and quality or risk-of-bias assessments used in a systematic review, ensuring reproducibility and transparency.

Nature: The dataset includes data extraction forms (both for reliability and validity studies), coding tables, and R scripts that detail how data were processed and statistically analyzed. It also contains forest plots and tables that illustrate how the extracted data were synthesized, visualized, and reported. In addition, there are key supporting documents such as the PROSPERO registration, screening protocols, search strategy files, and risk-of-bias checklists.

Scope: These files together cover the workflow for evaluating wearable devices, from designing the search strategy and screening references, to extracting relevant data, to performing meta-analytic calculations, and finally to generating publication-ready visualizations and summaries. The data documentation is intended for researchers, clinicians, and methodologists who are interested and who may wish to replicate or build upon the findings.
