The geochemical ratio ln(Zr/Rb) was analyzed in the core MD03-2673 located in the North Atlantic. The geochemical proxy ln(Zr/Rb) is used as grain-size proxy free of ice-rafted debris (IRD) influence. The X-ray fluorescence (XRF) data were obtained every cm with a Avaatech core scanner, 4th generation, at the Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l'Environnement (LSCE). The data were calibrated using the Multivariate Log-ratio Calibration (MLC) developed by Weltje et al. (2015) by analyzing discrete samples with a PANalytical Epsilon XRF spectrometer. These data were used as reference for grain-size variability free of IRD influence in Stevenard et al. (submitted).
The study was supported by the CNRS-INSU LEFE D.E.C.O.R.A.T.I.N.G project: "Dynamique des principaux courants profonds de l'Atlantique lors des périodes chaudes du passé : étude des interglaciaires des derniers 450 000 ans".
