We recommend using the Fiji/ImageJ software to open the micro-computed tomography TIFF stacks. The stacks were acquired with an EasyTom 150 (RX Solutions) machine with the X-ray source set at 500 µA and 50 kV. The acquisitions are 3D representations of grapevine buds before (T0) and after (T24) labelling active xylem vessels with iohexol. The resolution is around 30 µm.voxel-1, the distance between the X-ray source and the detector (sdd) was 393 mm, and the distance between the X-ray source and the object (sod) ranged from 31 mm to 101 mm. The scanned objects were approximately 8 cm tall and 3 cm large.
Buds were scanned grouped by duration under forcing conditions, which were of 1 day, 5 days, 12 days and 17 days. The 1-day, 12-days and 17-days stacks represent 6 buds with 2 buds of Cabernet Sauvignon grafted on Nemadex, 2 buds of Cabernet Sauvignon grafted on 1103P and 2 buds of Cabernet Sauvignon grafted on 5BB. For the 5-days buds, there is a stack representing 2 buds of Cabernet Sauvignon grafted on Nemadex and 2 buds of Cabernet Sauvignon grafted on 1103P, whereas the 2 buds of Cabernet Sauvignon grafted on 5BB were each acquired separately.
There is an XML file containing 3D reconstruction metadata associated to each stack.
