Unraveling Local Structure in Pseudocubic Perovskite Solid Solutions

DOI

Recently, several perovskite-like ceramic-oxide solid solutions featuring pseudocubic symmetry have been reported to exhibit technologically promising dielectric and electromechanical properties. The goal of the proposed neutron total-scattering experiments is to gain understanding of the local structure in such pseudocubic materials and then use this knowledge to establish crystal-chemical principles for the design of new perovskite formulations with desired properties.
