The research is composed of two modules of international comparative research: ISSP National Identity and Citizenship 2023 and the post-election study CSES Module 6. The ISSP module focuses on national identity and its defining factors. A key component is also the measurement of national pride in various areas (e.g., democracy, sports, history) and the examination of attitudes towards international relations and the restriction of foreign goods imports. An extensive block of questions is also dedicated to attitudes towards immigration and the perception of various aspects of good citizenship (obeying laws, helping people, military service). The post-election CSES research addresses the political environment in Slovakia, evaluating the functioning of democracy in the present, past, and future, the importance of rights in a democracy, and economic topics. The core of the study is a detailed analysis of the 2023 parliamentary elections, including voter turnout, the choice of a specific party, satisfaction with the choice, and the assessment of the fairness and equitable nature of the elections. The questionnaire maps the sympathies and ideological alignment of the main political parties and their leaders, trust in key institutions, and the role of women in politics.
