This is a spatial database which was created in 2022 as part of research aimed at classifying Slovenian cirques into distinct morphological types based on morphometric parameters for subsequent geomorphological analyses. The dataset contains a polygon shapefile with locations of 86 cirques identified in the Slovenian Alps, as well as several morphometric parameters for each cirque. Cirque outlines were manually delineated using ArcGIS Pro based on 1 m x 1 m resolution LiDAR data provided by the Slovenian Environment Agency (2015). Morphometric parameters were calculated manually and using the tool developed by Spagnolo et al. (2017). Lithology data was obtained from Hrvatin (2016). The dataset includes 23 variables, which are also explained in the readme file: Cirque identifier, length, width, minimum and maximum elevation, height, mean elevation, length/width, length/height and width/height ratios, perimeter, circularity index, 2D and 3D surface area, cubic size, mean and median axis slope, mean and median axis aspect, profile and plan closure, threshold presence and lithology.
