Childhood disease treatment coverage in rural Liberia before and after a community health worker intervention in Rivercess County of Liberia 2015-2016

We conducted a step-wise implementation of a CHW iCCM program in Rivercess County, Liberia. Data were collected through two stratified cluster-sample population-based surveys conducted in March-April 2015 (baseline) and April-June 2016 (follow-up). We populated the survey with validated questions from the 2013 Liberia DHS. We selected survey households using a two-stage cluster-sample explicitly stratified by intervention versus control and implicitly stratified by district and community size. Communities were the primary sampling units and were selected via probability-proportional-to-size (PPS) sampling. Households within the selected communities were selected to participate using a modified random walk approach. Within each selected household, we invited all women aged 18-49 to complete the survey to collect data about their health and the health of all living and deceased children.
