The proton momentum distribution in oriented ice films

We propose to fully characterise the proton quantum dynamics in oriented ice, grown on Pt surface, via DINS experiment and quantum ¿mechanical calculation, using path integral Car-Parrinello molecular dynamics. The combined studies aims at determining the proton momentum distribution, n(p), assessing the proton quantum effects and proton effective potential. This proposal is part of the proponents¿ research programme on momentum distribution of h-bonded systems.
