RailGoerl24 is an on-board visual light Full-HD camera dataset consisting of 12,205 frames and 383,922,305 off-board LiDAR colored cloud points recorded in a railway test center of TÜV SÜD Rail, in Görlitz, Germany, on April 24th, 2024. In addition to the raw data, the dataset contains 33,556 bounding-box annotations in total for the object class ‘person’. The faces of recorded people are not blurred or altered in any other way.
It was created as a part the DZSF-funded project XRAISE. PECS-WORK GmbH, EYYES Deutschland GmbH, Chair of Engineering Psychology and Applied Cognitive Research (TU Dresden), and Chair of Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (TU Dresden) constituted the project consortium. TU Dresden was co-supported by SECAI. TÜV SÜD Rail GmbH provided the space in Görlitz and facilitated the data collection.
