X-Ray fluorescence analysis of Hashilan Wetland sediment core, western Iran

DOI

The proxy data reported here are measured from a sediment core collected from the Hashilan Wetland in the Zagros Mountains of western Iran. For X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) core scanning, samples were dried, ground and measured individually with an ITRAX XRF core-scanner (Cox Analytics) (Croudace et al., 2006; Croudace et al., 2019) following the approach of Profe and Ohlendorf (2019) for measuring discrete samples. Analyses were carried out with the Molybdenum (Mo) X-ray tube with a voltage of 30 kV, a current of 40 mA, and 100 s exposure time. Analyses were carried out in the GEOPOLAR lab at the University of Bremen.
