Volos, as a "workplace".

DOI

From the late 19th century, Volos was a "workplace" and birthplace, in the early 20th century, of the Greek workers' movement. By the late 1970s it was a pole of attraction for in-country immigrants from the province to seek employment. Industrial labor, as well as the deindustrialisation of the 1970s and 1980s, marked the city. The survey, in which 18 meetings were held, aimed at exploring the personal and collective experiences of the employees.
