Social Cohesion of the Generations in Austria 2003

This study aims at developing and verifying indicators which can be used for valid and reliable measurement of the social cohesion of the generations in the various areas of life. This measuring instruments should be available for the periodical survey of the social cohesion between the generations in Austria. This is essential, considering the social situation in Europe, to quickly and adequately react to arising problems in connection with the intergeneration contract. This tool can be used to create a reliable and valid basis for decision for social- and economic politics in Austria and Europe. It can thereby for instance help handling the challenge of the superannuation of the population.
