Structure of zinc sulfide quantum dots from reverse Monte Carlo refinement

DOI

Zinc sulfide nanoparticles have a wide range of potential applications, in particular due to their optical properties. Research has enabled ZnS nanoparticles to be prepared with different coatings and different sizes. In this proposal we use neutron total scattering (including the small angle scattering) coupled with modelling via the Reverse Monte Carlo method to determine the atomic structure of a range of nanoparticles with different coatings and different sizes.
