Percent biogenic SiO2 for each 0.5-m.y. interval were obtained from Dean and Parduhn, 1984 (doi:10.2973/dsdp.proc.75.127.1984). MAR clay is the difference between bulk-sed. MAR and the sum of MAR's for CaCO3, Corg, and biogenic SiO2.
