Social Cohesion of the Generations in Austria 2005

The question program “social cohesion of the generations in Austria” is used in April 2003 for the first time and again, after a quality check in the course of a representative face-to-face survey, to show and analyses the changes in the social cohesion of the generations in Austria by comparing the years 2003 and 2005. 1,225 Austrians were interviewed by the SWS (Sozialwissenschaftliche Studiengesellschaft) on the following questions:->-) external life conditions (housing, mobility, health, leisure time, work)->-) household, family and social integration (with social support and gender specific social role allocation in the family and society)->-) public and social security (worries and trust in institutions)->-) political participation (as social integration: membership of and active participation in organisations, social and political attitude)->-) evaluation of the overall life situation (happiness, satisfaction, importance of the surveyed areas of life)
