Canopy height in French Guiana

DOI

A canopy height for French Guiana obtained using the data fusion of LiDAR, optical and other environmental datasets (spatial resolution = 250 m x 250 m). The precision of the map by comparison to a high precision airborne LiDAR canopy height estimates was evaluated at around 3 m (mean canopy height of 30 m).Data years:Lidar spaceborne data (GLAS-ICESat): 2003-2009Airborne lidar data provided by BRGM: 1996Airborne lidar data provided by Altoa: 2004-2009Optical data: 2003-2013SRTM DEM: 2000Geological map: 2001
