Transgenerational effect of chemical exposure

we study the transgenerational impact of environmentally relevant concentrations of five classes of contaminants (PFOS, Diclofenac, Trimethoprim, Atrazine and Arsenic) on the biomedical and ecological model species Daphnia. We apply the practise of resurrection biology to revive dormant Daphnia from the sedimentary archive of a lake with a known history of chemical pollution and expose these genotypes to environmentally relevant concentrations of the five chemicals.
