Results of greenhouse gas modelling of the Swiss Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSP-CH)

DOI

This dataset contains the results of greenhouse gas emission modeling for the five Swiss Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSP-CH) up to the year 2100. Six sector-specific reduced-complexity models were developed specifically for this analysis, enabling the modelling of the SSP-CH storylines. Accordingly, the dataset comprises the outputs of all six models, generated both in the absence of and under the implementation of additional climate policy packages, referred to as Shared Policy Assumptions (SPAs; see related publications).

  • Transport model (energy consumption by energy source and transport type/fleet mix)
  • Housing model (heating demand and GHG emissions per building category)
  • Electricity model (electricity consumption, electricity generation by energy source, installed capacity, district heating)
  • Industry model (energy consumption by energy source, subdivided into raw materials/building materials, consumer goods, and processed goods)
  • Agriculture model (feed digestion in livestock, manure storage, and nitrogen fertilization)
  • Export/Import model (product quantities in import and export, broken down into consumer goods, raw materials/building materials, and processed goods)
  • Synthesis model
