The bacterial community composition and its relationship with the environmental factors in the eight major outlets of Pearl River, South China, remain unknown. In this study, we investigate the whole information about bacterial community structure and identify the principal environmental factors driving their distribution and diversity in eight major outlets of Pearl River for further research on their ecological function in Pearl River Estuary.
