This dataset is obtained from flume experiments reproducing alpine gravel-bed stream conditions. The main objective of the experiments is to investigate the effects of different hydro-sedimentary forcings on channel morphology. The flume is Froude-scaled from measurements performed on a braided reach in the French Alps. The runs simulate daily flood peaks representative of the melting season, with associated sediment input. Measurements include full-flume topography acquired by photogrammetry, bedload flux at the outlet using a force sensor, grain-size distribution of transported material, and flow surface velocities obtained with a tracer method. For each run, the dataset includes a video of the run, DEMs of the bed at different timesteps, a video for flow velocities estimates, sediment flux and transported grain-size at the outlet, and the input liquid and solid discharges. This large dataset comprising 115 DEMs, 35 videos for velocities estimates, 81 transported grain size distribution and videos for various input conditions offers strong potential for studying morphological processes at micro- to macro-scales and across various timescales, and a fabulous playground for numerical investigations.
