Elevated temperature and toxic Microcystis reduce Daphnia fitness via modulation of gut microbiota

This study investigated the interactive effects of diet and temperature on the disruption of Daphnia gut microbiota and its associations with life history parameters. Daphnia was exposed to good diet. low toxic diet, high toxic diet at standard and high temperature for two weeks. After two weeks gut microbiota was analyzed and abundance of dominant bacterial groups was linked with Daphnia performance.
