The QstR regulon of Vibrio cholerae

In this study, we compared the QstR regulon to the TfoX regulon (and TfoY regulon) of V. cholerae in WT strain A1552 and its ?hapR?vpsA derivative using RNA-seq to better understand QstR's function. Overall design: mRNA profiles of a V. cholerae strains A1552-Tn, A1552-TntfoX-strep, A1552-TntfoY-strep, A1552-TnQstR and A1552?vpsA::FRT?hapR::FRT-Tn, A1552?vpsA::FRT?hapR::FRT-TntfoX-strep, A1552?vpsA::FRT?hapR::FRT-TntfoY-strep, A1552?vpsA::FRT?hapR::FRT-TnQstR. 3 independent biological replicates are provided for each bacterial strain. The bacteria were grown to high cell density and in the presence of arabinose as inducer.
