Diversity of tryptophan halogenases in sponges of the genus Aplysina

In this study a PCR-based screening was applied to simultaneously examine and compare the richness and diversity of putative tryptophan halogenase genes as well as the bacterial community structures of six Aplysina species from the Mediterranean and the Caribbean seas.
