Longitudinal survey of the development of reading and spelling abilities of pupils in primary education from 1979 through 1985. Combined with some data on social and psychological background, personality characteristics, parental family background and characteristics of school, class and teachers, primary school pupils were tested at 15 points in time during their school career. Several tests were used to measure the development of their reading and writing skills in particular, and their general learning progress and intelligence as well.
