Shallow genome sequencing of East Greenland Svalbard Barents Sea (EGSB) bowhead whales

Skin biopsies from 8 EGSB stock bowhead whales were collected in the Svalbard archipelago during 2006 and 2010. Total genomic DNA was extracted and sequenced. Preparation of paired-end libraries, and analysis on an Illumina Next Seq 500 was outsourced to StarSEQ GmbH, Mainz, Germany.
