Kivalliq seawater sequences

This work provides insight into the microbial community composition and bioremediation potential of bacteria enriched by crude oil in mock oil spill microcosms inoculated by subarctic seawater from the Kivalliq region in Nunavut, Canada. Microcosms were incubated at 4 degrees Celsius to mimic the naturally low temperatures in this region. Baseline metagenomes were sequenced to identify the in situ biodegradation potential.
