Differential gene expression in Brook Trout associated with hydraulic fracturing activity

RNAseq differential gene expression analyses of 38 Brook Trout individuals from 12 streams in northwestern Pennsylvania revealed significant associations of gene expression and fracking activity according to one of two analysis programs applied. This study lays the ground work for gene ontology analysis of Brook Trout response to hydraulic fracturing and supports the practice of using multiple software approaches to analyze large data sets.
