Winter road realignment study

The Winter road realignment study investigated realignment for the repairs/upgrades to the current Cat Lake First Nation winter road system and identified potential realignment for the construction a new winter road. The realignment study identified routes which avoid crossing water bodies as well as identified appropriate granular sources and high ground for future routes to prevent future issues resulting from weather by avoiding ice/snow crossings and providing a solid road base. Community preferences and the cost saving potential of different options were also determined.
