Impact of Seismic Trails, Camp Trails and Ice Road on Tundra Vegetation in the Northeast National Petroleum Reserve - Alaska

Measured active layer at 61 plots, 1999-2005 (every 3 years), and 46 of those were monitored through 2011. Sites are rated on a disturbance scale: Negligible(none to slight), Low, Moderate, High. Overall disturbance scores are based on a composite of several individual scores, which are visual estimates of impact relative to undisturbed reference plots: o Percent decrease in total plant cover o Percent decrease in shrub canopy o Percent increase in exposed soil o Structural damage to tussocks or hummocks o Compression of standing litter or moss mat
