Ichthyolith counts (>38um) and calculated ichthyolith accumulation rates determined in this study.Age adjusted to GTS 2012 using existing magnetostratigraphy (see Table S2 (this study, doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.910378) for age model and references.A note on dry bulk density: Sediment density was estimated using Deep Sea Drilling Project shipboard Physical Properties data: Hsu et al. 1984. Dry Bulk Density was calculated from wet density and water content estimated from shipboard data using the equations in Dadey et al., 1992. Variable DBD does not make a significant difference in calcualations of IAR (See supplement to: Sibert et al. 2014.
