Polaris Mine Archival Records

Archival evidence was gathered at the following repositories: Library and Archives Canada, Ottawa; the NWT Archives, Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Center, Yellowknife; the Wilfrid Laurier University Library Archives (the CARC records); and the Royal British Columbia Museum Archives, Victoria, British Columbia. Researchers used cameras to digitize large volumes of documents for further analysis. Archival regulations prevent sharing of these documents, however. All documents related to Polaris Mine are publicly available at the individual archives, though they may require access to information or other special requests in advance of viewing (individual archives should be contacted ahead of research trips). The complete list of archival files used in the project are listed in the text file linked to this entry.
