Swath sonar bathymetry during METEOR cruise M54/1 with links to multibeam raw data files

DOI

Data recording was mainly executed in West Pacific Ocean off Costa Rica and was supervised by hydrographers. Sonar system was ATLAS Hydrosweep DS2. Data are unprocessed and may contain outliers and blunders. Therefore the data should not directly be used for grid calculations and charting projects but need to be edited furthermore. The dataset consists of 110 files in ATLAS SURF multibeam format which are compressed with GZIP to size of 249 MB. Atlas SURF data files can be processed using the open source software package MB-System (http://www.ldeo.columbia.edu/res/pi/MB-System/).
