Interviewcollectie Stichting Mondelinge Geschiedenis Indonesië, interview 1522

De geïnterviewde vertelt hoe zij opgroeide in Indië. Hoewel haar ouders uit Nederland kwamen werd zij niet opgevoed zoals veel andere Europese kinderen. Ze woonde ook ene tijd afgelegen van Europese gemeenschappen. De geïnterviewde studeerde in Batavia toen de Japanners binnenvielen. In 1942 werd ze met familie geïnterneerd en kwam in verschillende kampen. Na twee jaar in Nederland te hebben gewoond keerde de geïnterviewde in 1946 weer terug naar Indië en bleef daar tot in 1956. De geïnterviewde vertelt hoe Indië voor haar veranderde na de soevereiniteitsoverdracht.
