Opal in sediment core MD07-3076Q during the last 68 kyrs

DOI

This dataset includes sub-millennially resolved biogenic silica (opal) measurements in the central sub-Antarctic Atlantic determined via Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIRS). 230Th-normalized fluxes have been determined for key intervals, i.e. the deglaciation and Antarctic warming event (AIM) 1. Sedimentary opal content and opal fluxes are consistent, which indicates that opal percentages faithfully mirror preserved opal fluxes in MD07-3076Q sediments.
