Snow stable water isotope composition (δ¹⁸O, δD, d excess) of seasonal snow along the Chilean Andes (33°S to 41°S)

DOI

Seasonal snow stable water composition (δ¹⁸O, δD, d excess) of snow pits from 11 sample sites along the Chilean Andes, between 33° and 41°S. The snow samples were taken every 5 cm from top to bottom from the shadow side wall. Stable water isotope analyses were carried out at Laboratorio Análisis Isotópicos (LAI) in Viña del Mar, Chile.

Isotope measurements were validated with an instrumental deviation lower than 0.8‰ and 0.1‰ for deuterium and oxygen isotopes, respectively, and normalized to the Vienna Standard Mean Ocean Water (VSMOW) scale.
