This data set contains information on the students of the Frisian universities. The socio-economic and political developments in the period 1380-1650 are indicated in this data set. The social status and geographical origin of the students and the social class in which the student was presented after the university, is mentioned. Variables like name of student, names of his parents, data on the universities, places of birth, occupations, etc. give an indication of the academical education of certain societal classes (civil servants, the nobles, priests).
