Yukon Contaminants Database: Long-term Monitoring of Contaminant Levels in Yukon Wildlife (1988-2009)

For many years levels of contaminants were monitored in fishes, birds, mammals and plants of Yukon. A range of metals and organochlorines, including arsenic, cadmium, mercury, POPs, DDT, and PCBs, were measured in samples from Yukon wildlife. Measurements were done on samples of liver, kidneys, bones, muscles, eggs, fat, feathers, etc. of various animals. Berries, flowers, cones, foliage, etc. were sampled for the plants analysis. In this dataset, contaminants analysis on mammals (except for caribou), birds, fishes and plants are presented. For the caribou dataset, please refer to metadata No. 12436. For more specific information on associated projects which are partly contributing data to this database, please refer to metadata No. 9896, 11051, 12007 (caribou) and 11703 (fish).
