Betrayal, Beliefs, and the Demographics of Social Capital

This experiment is about the way people make decisions and how trust in others influences their decisions.

The participants had to make decisions that determined how much money they and someone else would earn. The questionnaire consisted of four parts that each participant completed. At the end of the questionnaire, one of those parts was chosen at random. The amount of money that the participant earned in that part was subsequently paid out as real money.
