Surficial deposits and permafrost conditions of Puvirnituq village, Nunavik

During the field session of summer 2010, drillings and surface excavations were performed, ice cores and soil samples were collected, exposed bedrock was identified and many geomorphological field observations were made. The geodatabase contains all of the georeferenced data that were collected, as well as the results from the ice cores and soil samples analyses. These analyses include: grain-size distribution, permafrost cryostructures, stratigraphy, water content and soil bearing capacity. Moreover, the geodatabase includes many other study results from different reports produced by other researchers about surficial deposits, permafrost and infrastructures in Puvirnituq village.
